A New Era

Chase and I are back! We had a blast in Elko. But, as sad as we were to leave, we were happy to get home and see Joel! I will do a post showing pictures from the vacation. But, this post is dedicated to Chase crawling and turning into a completely different boy.

Right before we left Chase was starting to pretend crawl. So both Joel and I knew he would probably learn to crawl in Elko. What we did not expect was how soon he would learn to crawl. It took him one day in Elko to crawl. The night we got there, my mom did a big BBQ and we laid out the blanket for him to play. Well instead he decided to try and crawl. His attempts were not successful. He did have us laughing while he used his head as a propeller to move forward. But the next day he was pretty much off and running.

Here are some good action shots from his first week of crawling:

And his final destination was me. He gave me a beautifully constructed slobber kiss. :)
It doesn't amaze me with how fast Chase took to crawling. What does surprise me is how much his personality has changed with this new found freedom. I wonder what will happen when he gets his driver's license.
